It’s been four weeks since Sean Wheeler’s class started the WikiSeat project, and now they are done with building.
They have designed, built, messed up, fixed, and completed their very unique seats. It’s been a pleasure to watch this process happen, they have learned so much in such a short period of time. It is awe-inspiring to see these students show such enthusiasm for a school project.
“Just be you,if they don’t like it let them go and remember what my teacher said ‘As I look around, I see so many people who just want to be somebody.” Is that you?” –Tera R.
For a complete walkthrough of the completed chairs you can check out Sean Wheeler’s flickr photo set, he has documented every step of the process from the marshmallow challenge to the completed chairs.
In other news, Antonio Vendramin and Jared Nichols have both received their Catalysts. They are both pretty stoked about the project kicking off in their classrooms. As well about 6 other folks have gotten their Catalysts, too. It is so exciting to know that there will be over 700 new WikiSeats this year!
